Unfortunately, the impact of the pandemic on the economic environment as well as changes within our organization make it impractical for us to continue organizing the event.

Celebrate America

Since 1995, South Whidbey Assembly of God led by Pastor Matt Chambers has been honored to organize and host the 3rd of July “Celebrate America.” Over the course of 25 years, the event grew from a small group of vendors and attendees to an annual festival that drew thousands from the surrounding region to celebrate our country’s independence and focus on God’s place in and corporately ask His blessing to continue to be on our nation.

We are grateful to the community for their support in finances, equipment and encouragement throughout the years and would be glad to see another organization take over the event.

What is Celebrate America?

Celebrate America! is an annual event enjoyed by thousands on the south end of Whidbey Island every July 3rd at Freeland Park. Our desire is to provide an evening of family entertainment and patriotic inspiration as well as provide an opportunity to remember God’s place in Americas past, present and future. It’s an evening of fun for the whole family.

Celebrate America! is a nonprofit event and the $35,000 budget is completely funded by donations from individuals and businesses in the community.

EVENT PARKING

Please be considerate of others and pay attention to pedestrians! There is no parking available at the park. Those who have a Handicap Parking permit, may park across the street from Freeland Park in a field. Free shuttle service from Freeland’s Park ‘n Ride lot located at Trinity Lutheran Church, and at the Island Transit bus stop on Main St. in front of Chase Bank begins running at 4:30pm
